Worldwide News: “Put the NEEDS of OTHERS before yOURs in CHARITY!”

The BIBLE states,  “For ye know the grace of our Lord JESUS CHRIST, that, though He was rich; yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich…”  (II Corinthians 8:9)   Apostle Paul is telling us that JESUS CHRIST took off His Royal Robe, Super Glory, and Wealth to come down here to this filthy Earth to save us.  For our sakes, JESUS became poor, died the death of a criminal, but HE GOT UP out of the grave! Unlike CHRIST, mankind’s first rule of life is self-preservation but no man is an island of himself.

At some point, you will need help from another person and hopefully he/she will help you.  If you pass out, you cannot drive yourself to the hospital – that’s for sure!  Neither is Apostle Paul’s  telling you to give away all of YO money to the poor because  “Though you speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not charity you are as a sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal.  And though you have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries, all knowledge, and have all faith so that you can move mountains and have not charity, you are nothing.  And though you bestow all your goods to feed the poor and though you give your body to be burned but have not charity, it profited you nothing!”  (I Corinthians 13:1-3)

In essence, the Spirit of Christ (LOVE) commands you to “Put the NEEDS of OTHERS before yOURs in CHARITY!”   The LORD will bless you above and beyond all that you can ever imagine.

BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:

Today (more than ever) life is not what it used to be.  Back in the day, a family of six could make it on the Father’s modest income.  In fact,  a loaf of bread was under 50 cents and today it is $2.89 to $4.39 depending on the brand.

If you are feeding six mouths, you can forget about taking a vacation this year.  Don’t forget summer is almost over and it’s back-to-school time.  If you have kids and teens, you’ll need to start each day with prayer because Youse gots to buy multiple school supplies (everything except the forks, spoons, and the cafeteria trays)  for each child as the school only supplies the buildings, teachers, and books (with the help of your tax $) .

No matter what,  you will need something stronger than liquor, booster shots, and hard core drugs to get you through the rest of the year!  So let’s ask Apostle Paul who wrote about a special Role Model – JESUS CHRIST!  The generosity of CHRIST’S Spirit continually lingers over  this World and the entire Universe.  My Mama use to say,  “If it wasn’t for the Lawrd, where would I be?”   Because of HIS Grace (unmerited favor), we are here today and because of HIS Mercy (compassion),  we have an Advocate to GOD the FATHER!

If it wasn’t for the LORD, where would you be?  Life is not all about you and we are no longer children praying,  “Now lay me down to sleep….if I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take…”    Honey-baby-sugar, life is so hard and you can’t make it on a child’s prayer!  As you become more and more like JESUS, you will take on His characteristics.  In time (if not already), you will absorb the spoken and unspoken requests of others through the Spirit of Christ!  You will  do  one  of two things:  (1) you will help others spiritually, physically, emotionally, or mentally;  or (2)  you will avoid the needs of others at all costs.  The awareness and strength of your  Christian beliefs will dictate your involvement in the lives of others around you.  Don’t worry you ain’t got to take them home with you, but you can buy a meal, clothing, shoes, pay a utility bill or do something to help them get through hard times.

Whatever you do, “Put the NEEDS of OTHERS before yOURs in CHARITY!”

Have a Blessed Day!
