The Bible states, “All things were made by GOD and without GOD was not anything made that was made.” (John 1:3) Can you think of anything that was not made by GOD or anything that GOD cannot do (except lie and/or make you serve HIM)?
BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:
Let’s not be silly so let’s get real! TO THE LITTLE KID LIVING WITHIN YOU THE ADULT:
Let’s analyze John 1:3 another way, “GOD CREATED EVERYTHING.” Perhaps, you’ve been let down by loved ones, abandoned, given up for adoption, put into foster homes, scolded, told that you are nothing and nobody, locked up by the law or whatever. Basically, you have been robbed of your innocence as a child, teenager, and/or young adult.
If possible, lay aside every weight and hindrance and go with me to an untarnished spot in your heart. By the way everyone has a secret compartment within their heart which they hide from others. Do not tell me that you don’t find joy and happiness in something because even the meanest person laughs some times!
Allow me to speak to the little kid who lives in your heart. Pretend that I am telling you a bedtime story about the Creator of the Universe.
(1) I grab a concept of someone in a fairytale story who was great and powerful, the “WIZARD OF OZ!” We all know that the Wizard helped Dorothy to return to her Aunt Em. Next, I compare the Wizard to The ALMIGHTY GOD. Off-the- record, we know there is no comparison but keep in mind that I am appealing to the little kid in you.
(2) I inform you that there is nothing hidden from GOD as HE sees, hears, and knows everything you say, think, do, and plot to do! As a little child, you ask, “Did GOD see me when I slapped my baby brother in the face, took his bottle, and drank the milk?” Naturally, I (as the adult) say, “Yes, is that why your brother was crying?”
(3) By now, I’ve got the complete attention of the 5 year; so I say, “Do you like birthday parties?” For sure, all kids like birthday parties because they like to give gifts, play games, receive party favors, have lots of fun, run around, exhaust themselves, and dance to the music.
(4) Now, I ask, “can GOD dance?” Most likely, the little child will say, “YES, I saw HIM dancing.” And, I say, “Oh really?” And, the child (being smart as a whistle) says, “Sure, GOD CAN DO EVERYTHING!”
Have a Blessed Day!
