Worldwide News: “Am I My BROTHER’S Keeper?”

The Bible says, “And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother?  And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?

And the LORD said, What has thou done? The voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand; When thou tilest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.”   (Genesis 4:8-13)

We all know the story about Cain’s outrageous jealously of Abel (his brother) and his offering unto the Lord GOD. Cain’s jealously blinded him to the truth. God asked Cain, “Why art thou wroth and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well shall thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door….” (Genesis 4:6-8)

Well now, let’s check out the offerings of both brothers unto the LORD: (1) Abel was a “…keeper of sheep…” and “…he brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof and the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering.” (2) Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. “But unto Cain and to his offering the Lord had not respect…” (Genesis 4:3-4)

It does not matter whether you are a beggar, digging in a garbage can, or the prime minister – all souls are the same to GOD;  but  “…the soul that sinneth it shall die….”   (Ezekiel 18:20)  The Lord GOD loves everybody and HE offered Cain the chance to turn himself around, “…if thou doest well shall thou not be accepted?”   Rather than to gather the best fruit of the ground, Cain offered stale fruit. He had every opportunity to give the Lord GOD his best!

Like Cain, we throw leftovers to the Lord GOD. Yep! We work all week, eat out 2-3 times a week, workout on Saturdays, go to the movies on Saturday night, have a late night drink with friends, wake up intoxicated on Sunday mornings, barely make it to Church (if we are lucky), put a dollar in the offering plate, and sleep throughout the entire service. As soon as we get in the car, we wake up and ask our family and/or friends, “Who’s hungry?”  How long do we think the Lord GOD will allow up to rob from HIM? He wants our undivided fellowship and we owe Him one-tenth of our wages! Frankly, we spend more time at the movies than we do reading the Word of GOD!

MURDER! OMG!  If you look across the USA and around the WORLD, there is chaos, killings, murders, ruthless executions, rage, hate, stealing, kidnappings, and you name it!  We are a sinful people and sin is our Global common denominator. Like Cain, we are guilty of murder and we are a faithless generation who make up new laws, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations as we see fit.

from  the beginning of each new age unto the present, our brother’s blood cries out unto the Lord GOD!  You may be asking the question, “Who is my brother?”   Well, let me tell you!  Your neighbor is your brother and it doesn’t matter if your neighbor is black, white, red, yellow, or green. If you are a man, then, all men were created in the image of the LORD GOD!  If your neighbor is a woman, it does not matter if your female neighbor is black, white, red, yellow, or green. All women were created in the image of man and your female neighbor is your sister!  As you know the Lord GOD took a rib from Adam to make Eve!  Naturally, your brothers and sisters (locally and Worldwide) were not born unto your natural parents (as all souls belong to GOD) but somebody gave birth to them and that genealogy goes all the way back to the human survivors of Noah’s Deluge! Yet every generation and age of mankind has failed to live according to the Word of GOD!

I will not talk about the most current headlings in Baltimore, MD because you can read it for yourself! If people can bring themselves to respect others as they demand others to respect them, the WORLD would be much better.

The Word of GOD tells us, “THOU SHALL NOT KILL!”   So why do we kill?  My question is, “Am I My BROTHER’S Keeper?   The Word says, “For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.  Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one and slew his brother.  And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil and his brother’s righteous.”   (1 John 3:11-12)

Have a Blessed Day!

Worldwide News: “DO IT! Like King Solomon – PRAY!”

The Bible says, And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD GOD, even my GOD, will be with thee; HE will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the House of  the LORD.” (I Chronicles 28:20) You may be wondering why your blessings are blocked! Most of us look at the impossible and give up! We walk away because the project is too big, life is too hard, people may not accept us, and the list goes on. I have good news for you just read on!

The Lord GOD chose Solomon to succeed David (his Father) as King of Israel even though Solomon was not a mighty man like David (the son of Jesse)!  Allow me to pause a moment – you don’t have to be a warrior to serve JESUS, but you must be a willing worker!

To comprehend this subject, we must make a comparison between David and Solomon:

(1)  David was a plain, ruddy teenager who put his heart, mind, and soul into every task and (for this) GOD loved him so much! History tells us that David (as a teenager) rescued his Father’s sheep out of the mouths of a bear and lion! Now how many grown men (let alone teenagers) can go up against lions, tigers, and bears without carrying guns, rifles, hand grenades, and a company of sharp shooters with them?

During his youthful years, David (using a few pebbles and a sling shot) slew GoliaTh the Giant (who was decked with heavy armor).  Again, I pop another question, “How many men (puny or mighty) can muster the courage to kill a giant using a sling-shot?

As an adult, David grew up to be a mighty warrior and he attracted men of great valor as well as discontented followers. Time and time again, he won battles against the Philistines, Moabites, Syrians, and other nations. Throughout his entire life, David fought bloody wars and (after being crowned king) he brought the Northern and Southern Tribes into a United Kingdom. Can you imagine how strategic king David (if alive) would be to our government and military forces?

(2)  It is safe to say that Solomon was a kingdom brat! King David was well within his rights to pass on the torch to Solomon (who was also God’s chosen). Unlike David, Solomon grew up in a peaceful environment.  He lived in a beautiful palace and he was surrounded by  gardens, pools,  horses, stables, servants, luxuries, fine tutors, fine clothing, gold, silver, jewelry, exquisite cuisines, vast riches, and wealth.

What you don’t know is that Solomon was not ready to be King of Israel neither was he ready to build The HOUSE for the LORD!  The Holy Spirit gave the pattern of the temple to king David (I Chronicles 28:12); but the king (the man) passed on the pattern to Solomon (the man).  (I Chronicles 28:11)

In fact, king David said unto the congregation, “Solomon my son, whom alone GOD hath chosen is yet young and tender…I have prepared with all my might for the house of my GOD, the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance…”   (I Chronicles 29:1-2)

King David collected all the materials for The House of the Lord and king Solomon collected some of the materials (like the cedars of Lebanon) to build his own house (including the queen’s house and other smaller buildings).  By the way, it took Solomon seven years to build The House of the Lord and it took thirteen years to construct his personal residence. Furthermore, his house was just as beautiful as the Temple.  Any comments?

(3)  For certain, prince Solomon knew that he was not ready to take on king David’s legacy but he had sense to get help! Solomon went directly to the Lord GOD, in prayer! Now don’t you go thinking,  “Well – blow me down…”  PRAYER is a mighty tool and weapon in times of trouble!  The young king humbled himself saying, “Thou hast shown great mercy unto David my father and hast made me to reign in his stead. Now, O Lord God, let Thy promise unto David my father be established: for Thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this Thy people, that is so great? (II Chronicles 1:7-10)

In the back of his mind, king Solomon kept hearing his Father’s last command,  “…be strong and of good courage, and do it; fear not, nor be dismayed for the LORD GOD, even my GOD, will be with thee…”  Also, Solomon rehearsed the promises GOD made to HIS servant, king David. Like Solomon, we’ve got to remind the LORD to fulfill HIS promises to us!

(4)  Let’s get back to GOD’s answer to king Solomon. The Lord GOD said, “Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like…”   (II Chronicles 1:11-12)

(5)   Now, we can understand the introduction of II Chronicles 1:1 which states, “And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his GOD was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.”  (II Chronicles 1:1)  This latter verse outlines and sums up the success and prosperity of king Solomon (throughout his reign) and the Kingdom of Israel.

In First Chronicles 29:28, we see the passing of king David; but (prior to his death) the king often told Solomon, “…even my GOD will be with thee…”  (Chronicles 28:20)   For certain, we know the Holy Spirit was working in and upon David from his boyhood and throughout his kingship. As you may know, GOD commissioned Prophet Samuel to anoint David as king during the reign of king Saul (who was disobedient).

Now, we see the Holy Spirit is working in and upon king Solomon. He no longer says, “…the God of my Father…”  or as  king David uttered,  “…my God will be with thee…”   Without doubt,  “The Lord GOD is Solomon’s GOD!”

May I leave you with this final thought? It is extremely important to have a personal relationship with the Lord GOD as it is not enough for us to just trust because Daddy or Mama or Uncle George trusted in the LORD GOD!  Like Solomon, we’ve got to PRAY as never before. As Solomon matured in faith, he was strengthened. Shall we not go through a changing process? None of us are where we should be but we are not where we use to be!   Praise-the-Lord!

We cannot fix our problems but we can take inventory of our situations. Although we cannot make others behave, we can take them (in prayer) to the Lord GOD! More so, we must own up to our mistakes, short-comings, and repent!  If we just wait on GOD, HE will answer our prayers! He may not come today, tomorrow, next week, within the next few months, or even years; but, HE’S ALWAYS ON TIME!

Don’t eliminate the Lord GOD’s presence in your life and don’t take HIM for granted! If you don’t need anything, I’m happy for you; but   if you need answers from the LORD GOD, then, “DO IT! Like King Solomon – PRAY!”

Have a Blessed Day!

Worldwide News: “THE WORD (Psalm 3) and A PRAISE BREAK!”

The Bible says,   “Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me…But Thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy hill…I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about! Salvation belongeth unto the Lord, Thy blessing is upon Thy people. Selah!” (Psalm 3:1-8)

No matter what is happening in your life, in your home, and on your job, you must stay confident in CHRIST JESUS! Just remember that trials come to make you strong (not to make you jump out-of-the window).  Having said this, I cannot say it like the late Bishop G.E. Patterson (COGIC)!

Please check out the video called,

“Surrounded by Enemies but GOD Delivered!”

You will see the Saints of God (including the Bishops and choir members) praising the LORD! The late Bishop Patterson reads from the Book of Psalm and no sooner than he finishes, the Church is Praising the Lord. Moreover, you will hear the guitarist playing like he is in Heaven! I don’t know his name, but he makes the guitar sing!

Have a Blessed Day!

The Bible says,  “Let every thing that hath breath, praise the Lord. Praise ye the LORD.”  (Psalm 150:6)  This is a command to all of us including nature!  If you can praise your football team or whatever, you can Praise the Lord.  In fact, many of us do not personally know the players on the various teams.  I’ve never met a football or baseball player or any famous player!  I don’t need to because they are just people like all of us.  However, I do glorify the Lord GOD!  Do you?

The WORD tells us to praise GOD in HIS sanctuary and in the firmament of HIS power. What does this mean? We must praise GOD on Earth and in Heaven! If you don’t want to praise the LORD, don’t hinder others!  FYI: Apostle JOHN said in Revelation 19:1, “I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, ALLELUIA; Salvation and glory and honor and power unto the LORD our GOD. For true and righteous are HIS judgments…”

Now let’s take a praise break! Please watch the video of the:

          COGIC 107th Holy Convocation

Sunday Night Praise Break – 2014!

Kudos to the Bishop at the podium who acknowledged the Spirit of the Lord moving throughout the Sanctuary!

WOW-wee! This great Man of God said,

“Take a Praise Break! You deserve it!”

Honey, the Saints went wild! Again, kudos to the choir, all the musicians, the praise dancers with the flags, and a double portion of praise to the DRUMMER with the head phones! I think even his teeth were praising the LORD! The drummer has a beautiful smile on his face and he put his all-in-all in playing. He kept that beat on time! Listen to the piano, organ, and that quitar was out-of-sight!

Take notice of the police officer (on the platform) who was amazed at the Saints and musicians Praising the Lord!

Have a Blessed Day!

Worldwide News: “MAKE ME CLEAN!”

The Bible says,   “When He was come down from the mountain great multitudes followed Him. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped Him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And, Jesus put forth His hand and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”   (Matthew 8:1-2)

You may be suffering with a terrible sickness of the mind and/or a terrible disease in the body but there is help for you, JESUS.  Now a lot of people don’t want to hear this but don’t let that bother you!  If you are looking for Divine help, you have to elevate your mind to a higher level – a spiritual one. What am I saying? You’ve got to reach outside of your limited box as  “…faith is the subtance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.”  Just because you can’t see a solution or you can’t comprehend how something can come of nothing, you limit yourself!

Let’s examine these two verses carefully:

(1) The leper worshipped the LORD!  The leper in this story was a poor, lonely, uneducated, hopeless, and terribly ridden with leprosy. And so, this leper came with the mind to worship the Lord!  Notice, the leper humbled himself saying,  “Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.”  A person must never go before the Lord GOD with an arrogant attitude; so humble yourself. Please DO NOT ask the LORD to humble you because HE will put a heavy burden upon you. Honey, don’t go there!

(2) The leper believed in the LORD! Again, this wretched leper believed in Jesus as the Savior!  And so, the leper was determined to get his miracle and he had enough sense to seek the Lord! Naturally, he heard about the 5,000 men (not including the women and children) fed by the Lord at Sermon on the Mount!  The news quickly spread how sick people (the lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others) were healed by Jesus ! (read, Matthew 15:30)

There is a zone called faith and that’s where you need to get and stay! You cannot dip in one day and dip out the next. Be consistent and determined to get your miracle! You’ve got to live this thang!

(3) The LORD took action! Jesus came down to Earth to heal and save the lost. He did not look down on the leper. Instead, Jesus had compassion on the leper as He has compassion and mercy for us! The older Saints used to say, “If you make one step, He’ll (JESUS) will make two…”  What did Jesus do?  “And, Jesus put forth His hand and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”

If you’ve tried everything and everybody and you still cannot find peace, seek out Jesus !  Like the leper, ask the LORD, “MAKE ME CLEAN!”

Have a Blessed Day!
