Worldwide News: ‘Didn’t GOD DO IT?”

The Bible says, “Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.”   (I Kings 3:12-13) Check this out,   “Didn’t GOD DO IT?”   While we are yet praying and making requests known unto GOD, the answers are on the way to us!

If you want to know about world history, the present times, and the future, read the WORD OF GOD!

One of the greatest Preachers (in the Old Testament) was king Solomon. Just before king David died, he charged Solomon “…to walk with the Lord thy GOD in all His ways, keep His statutes, commandments, judgments, and testimonies as it is written in the law of Moses that thou mayest prosper in all thou doest and whethersoever thou turnest thyself…” (I Kings 2:3)

By 1 Kings 3:3, Solomon “…loved the Lord and was walking in the statues of David his father…” In Scripture, all the kings were compared to king David (a man after God’s own heart).  And, we know that David was not perfect as he was guilty for the death of one of his “Mighty Men – Uriah” and for taking Uriah’s wife, Bathsheba! Yet, David repented for these sins and God forgave him. Contrary to king David’s orders, Solomon was walking in the statutes of David and not completely in the statues of the Lord thy GOD. Why?  In I Kings 3:1, Solomon made a political agreement with Pharaoh to marry his daughter and this was not in keeping with the Mosaic Law!   Thus, Solomon not only loved the Lord, but he loved many, many, many strange women (about 1,000 or more) and they stole Solomon’s heart from loving and obeying the LORD GOD.

Yet, GOD blessed Solomon because he respected HIM as the LORD GOD of his father, king David. One thing for sure, the young king Solomon offered burnt offerings upon the altar to GOD (in high places). At that time,  there was no temple to worship in. One night, the LORD appeared (in a dream) to Solomon,  “Ask what I shall give thee.”  Solomon said, “Give Thy servant an understanding heart to judge Thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this Thy so great a people?”

And, “Didn’t GOD DO IT?”   We all know the answer to that question. The Word says, “The speech pleased the LORD that Solomon has asked this thing. And GOD said to him, Because thou hast asked this thing and has not asked riches for thyself, nor asked the life of thine enemies; but asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment: Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee, before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. And I have also given thee that which thou has not asked, both riches, and honor; so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days. And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes, and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days. ”  (I Kings 3:10-14)

This is wonderful news for those who are struggling with good and evil. Once we place all trust in the LORD GOD to completely obey HIS Word, the LORD GOD will come through for us. After periods of testing, trials, and tribulations, the LORD will answer our prayers. The LORD laid out the plan for Solomon and the same goes for all of us.

Although, Solomon was young, inexperienced, green behind the ears, and unproven as a successful king (like David), GOD said, “Behold, I have done according to thy words….”  Do you realize what this means? While king Solomon was praying, the answer was on its way! Take hold of this and don’t toot up your lips! If you are praying for something special from the LORD GOD, get up off your fanny and speak it into action for their is life in your words. Knock, seek, ask and it shall be done unto you!   But, you’ve got to believe it!  If you don’t get anything else out of this, check out the life of king Solomon because there was no other king like him, before him, and/or after him! “Didn’t GOD DO IT?”

Have a Blessed Day!
