The Bible says, “He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within My house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in My sight. I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the City of the Lord.” (Psalm 101:7-8) Again, I ask the question, “WHAT TRAIN ARE YOU TAKING?”
BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:
We live in a society which accepts everything and anybody no matter what! We call good evil and evil good! How many times have you tried to live right and all hell breaks loose on you. It seems like your life is “Busting Loose!”
Like the Parable of Seeds in the New Testament, many people have not allowed the Word of GOD to sink into their hearts. For this reason, they waiver back and forth as the winds of sickness, financial disasters, let downs, frustrations, funny business, unfaithful spouses, unfaithful friends, unemployment, or whatever it is blows upon their lives. Very few people make comebacks and many fall by the wayside.
When you get the chance, read the entire verses of Psalm 101:1-8. King David says, “I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way…I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside: it shall not cleave to me.” As we all know, king David sinned but he repented of his sin(s) and he stopped disobeying the LORD GOD.
Like David, we should behave ourselves. This includes walking, talking, and living right in our houses as well as in public. The Lord does not want us to be hypocrites. We must not confess to be like Christ, but, technically we are living in the basement of sin and shame. When folks come to your home, do you have to hide certain magazines?
In fact, king David asked this question, “O when wilt thou come unto me?” This is a very important question! The Spirit of the Lord cannot dwell in an unclean vessel. If we are to be used of the Lord, we must keep our hearts, minds, souls, and actions clean. Well, you may be asking, say what? Let me say this. You sweep your floors, clean yours houses, wash your dishes, wash you clothes, wash your hair, brush your teeth, comb your hair, wash your cars, paint you houses, buy expensive clothes, etc. Don’t you? Normally, you don’t want others to catch your house in a mess because they might think ill of you. If people casually drop by, you just might be embarrassed. Some people are more careful about their cars than their houses. For instance, you cannot eat or drink in their cars but you can through candy wrappers and peanuts on the floor in their homes.
Well, the Lord only comes to clean vessels! When JESUS looks upon us, He sees right through us. He is looking for a clean vessel without spots, blemishes, and wrinkles. That’s why we have to cleanse ourselves daily in the Word of God! We have to shed our dirty garments through His Word and His Word cleanses us. If you read the Bible and meditate upon the Word rather than watching “Hollywood Housewives” or the “Walking Dead,” you will find many changes taking place in your life.
God does not want us slandering our neighbors, whoring, cheating, looking down on the poor, lifting up our heads with high looks, frowning and making faces at others, mistreating the needy, being stingy as we refuse to buy food or dinners for the hungry, or clothing for the naked, etc.” In fact, the Lord says, “I will cut off him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.” (Psalm 101:5)
Now I’d like you to listen to some music about “TRAINS BOUND FOR GLORY!” There are many groups and bands, but here is one with a little upbeat to it:
The Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe
The Old Crow Medicine Show
singing, “This Train is Bound for Glory!”
The words to this song are great. Allow me to paraphrase, “This train is bound for glory this train…don’t carry nobdy but the righteous and holy…don’t carry no liars, hypocrites, compromisers, etc…this train”
Don’t forget my question, “WHAT TRAIN ARE YOU TAKING?”
Have a Blessed Day!
