The Bible says, “And it came to pass, when he [JESUS] was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy who seeing JESUS fell on his face, and besought Him, saying, LORD, if thou wilt, Thou canst make me clean. And JESUS put forth His hand and touched him, saying I will be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him. And HE charged him to tell no man; but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.” (Luke 5:12-14)
BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:
The greatest preacher told this story and performed this miracle but this was not the only miracle JESUS did! Do you know why so many of us do not have our healing? Well, its because we lack the faith in the LORD JESUS CHRIST . Here’s is another question for you all, “Is there anything too hard for the Lord to do?”
Check this out:
(1) Jesus was in a certain city and a sick man full of leprosy came-a-running (begging to be healed of his sickness) and fell on his face before Jesus! Who cares about the name of the city as it doesn’t matter – when you’re sick you’re sick and you look a hot mess!
For the sake of some of you, let’s say, Jesus was in Paris, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Izmir, Jerusalem, or whatever. This man had enough sense to recognize the absolute healing powers of JESUS and this man didn’t care who was looking at him. As you know, death, sickness, and disease has no respect of persons – so a poor, middle class, or rich person can be full of sickness (mental illness, blindness, deafness, cancer, Aids, high blood pressure, tuberculosis, Ebola, genital worts, or some rare disease).
You’ve got to get out of the box and stop worrying about your status and/or who may be looking at you. Let their eyes fall out of the sockets and run down the road! Baby, get your praise on and run to Jesus as fast as you can!
(2) This sick and tormented man had enough of his sickness, oozing sores, tired of the isolation from his family and friends, tired of sleepless nights, tired of no medicine, tired of being in pain 24/7, tired of looking ugly, tired of disfiguration, and tired of just being tired. So this leper asked the Lord, “…if you will make me clean…”
One day, you will get tired of looking at yourself in the mirror, your mess, and your physical/mental illnesses. When this happens, you’ve got to make that call to JESUS because the doctor cannot help you do this. In fact, many doctors are sick and heavily medicated themselves. Doctors and nurses are people with the same sickness and illnesses as their patients. In fact, many doctors are rude because they think more highly of themselves! Come on now, yawl! Many professionals are just as arrogant and they refuse to admit that they need help!
What did Jesus do? The LORD saw the condition of this leper and his sincerity. And so, “Jesus put forth His hand and touched the leper saying, I will be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.”
You see, it doesn’t take JESUS all night/all day to heal or repair our bodies or situations. HE IS A RIGHT NOW GOD! However, the LORD has His own time frame for everything. As the Word states, “…there is a time and season for all things…” For some of us, the Lord has to whip us with many strips – one week the doctor says return in two weeks…after three weeks, the doctor says “you’re looking much better…”….after six months or one year, the disease is in remission!
For others, the Lord can heal miraculously because the person(s) is godly sorrowful for his/her sins! For all of us, it is a test of othe nerves because the LORD wants to see if we will keep the faith regardless of our situations. My advice is for you not to act up like a monkey and trust the Lord whether you feel good, bad, ugly, sick, tired, or whatever!
After his healing, what did the leper do? He testified about his deliverance from his disease. He went to the priest and he told everybody about the miracle in his life! You cannot keep the goodness of the Lord down under a blanket. Go to Church (a good Bible believing one). Become a faithful member and go to Bible study! You must tell it others about the things the Lord has done for you. This is called spreading the “Good News” – the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Don’t tell you were sneaking around behind your friend’s back as you may get knocked out! Instead, stop sinning, put an end to your madness, and make an about face to serve the Lord. Trust in the Lord and “BE THOU CLEANSED!”
Have a Blessed Day!
