Worldwide News: “The LOVE of MONEY is the ROOT of ALL eVIL!”

The BIBLE states,  “For the love of money is the root of all evil which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”    (I Timothy 6:10)   Having money is not the issue; instead, it is the love of money because people will cheat, steal, and kill people for the sake of money!

BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:

The WORD of GOD is always right (yesterday, today, and forever).  One of the greatest problems in the World is the love of  MONEY which is the root of  ALL evil!  No mater what station of life people live in (rich or poor), the problem is MONEY!  If a pimp has a whore, he’s looking for the MONEY!  If you’ve got a mortgage, the banker is looking for the MONEY!  If you got children in college, the dean is looking for your MONEY!  If you’ve got a car, the State wants you to register it because the State wants your MONEY!  None of these people want bananas for payment in lieu of $$$$$’s.

The WORD goes on to say,  “But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare and unto many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.”  (I Timothy 6:9)   Let’s check this out more closely!

(A)   The MONEY man/woman will fall into  “temptations and a snare”  – namely nets and traps.  For instance, the broker or a manipulator will find some hoax or money making scheme for the rich man/woman to fund!  More than likely, the broker or manipulator gets kickbacks coming whether or not the deal makes money! In the end, the rich man/woman may lose his/her shirt. The devil can make a ridiculous deal seem ethical and beneficial, but it is a trap.  Look at the list of people and celebrities who are bankrupt or over-extended in debt.

(B)   The MONEY man/woman WILL DROWN  himself/herself in  “destruction and perdition” which means they will be destroyed and go to hell, unless they repent!  Now you can say whatever you like but there is no way to sugar coat GOD’S Word.    As Mama use to say,  “Youse on your way to hell and happy glad about it!”   

(C)   The RIGHTEOUS man/woman will FLEE  these things and follow after “…righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness, and fight the good fight of faith…and lay hold on eternal life.”    (I Timothy 6:11-12)  Will it be easy?  No.  Honey-baby-sugar, it is hard to live godly around fools but the LORD JESUS will give you strength.  For this reason, you’ve got to keep your eyes on HIM!  If you don’t, you will lose your mind!

IN SUMMARY:  Most rich people and/or folks who have more than they need are snobbish and they look down on others – but this does not include all affluent people!  Nonetheless, a rich person is not going down to the ghetto to take a  poverty stricken old lady (on Section 8) or a single Mom with six children to buy groceries!  The rich man is afraid that someone may see him or think he’s the Father or the six kids or that that a roach (or bugs) might crawl out of woman’s purse into his car!  Likewise, the big famous Hilton Hotel is not going to let a vagabond stagger into the lobby as the rich folks will check out the hotel – Money! 

When you have money, folks won’t leave you alone – this goes for the poor as well.  If you have $25.00 somebody wants $12.00.  If you have $250.00 in your wallet, I guarantee somebody needs $175.00 to fix their washing machine, to pay a bill, to buy a pair of new shoes, or to impress some woman or man on a date night!  If you have $1,200.00, somebody wants $450.00 – they will come up with some kind of flimflam to get it!

Question:   IS LOVE DEFINED IN DOLLARS?   I mean do you need to prove your love by spending $150.00,  $300.00, or $500.00  nightly, weekly, monthly, or yearly on someone?  If you take someone out to dinner, he/she should be grateful for the thought and the meal and not the fact that you spent $200.00.  If somebody buys a hot-dog (with mustard), French-fries, and a soda and it is from his/her heart, Praise the Lord!  Allow me to repeat the topic,  “The LOVE of MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL!”

Worldwide News: “SURVIVING DOUGHTS!”

The BIBLE states,  “When Heaven is shut up and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee, if they pray toward this place and confess Thy Name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:  Then hear Thou in Heaven, and forgive the sin of Thy servants and of Thy people Israel [and Gentiles] that Thou teach them the good way where they should walk and give rain upon thy land which thou hast given to Thy people for an inheritance.”    (I Kings 8:35-36)   The question is, How Do You Survive Droughts?

BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:

A meteorologist studies the Earth’s climate and weather patterns and he/she makes a report to the general public.  It’s a good thing because advance climate and weather changes are vital to survival.  Presently, the public is receiving warnings about tornadoes, tropical rains, severe thunder storms, flooding, blazing temperatures, and plenty more. Without these forewarnings, many people would be injured, killed, stranded, caught or trapped in terrible situations.

Similar to weather patterns, many folks are suffering from spiritual droughts.  There are periods when you don’t receive answers to your prayers.  In fact, you think GOD is not listening to you…He abandoned the Earth….and …. “Heaven is shut up…”   In reality, HEAVEN is not CLOSED because it is GOD’S Dwelling Place! If Heaven is dried-up…then…none of us has  HOPE!   Nonetheless, you say “poor me!”  because you have little-to-no faith!  In order to please GOD, you only need faith the size of a mustard seed, Dah!   FYI:  GOD ain’t coming when you want HIM but HE will be there on time just before the break-of-day!  When you give up and stop trying to fix-it, the Lord comes through! 

Likewise, there are periods when financial droughts knock you up-side-down!  No wonder your lips are protruding six feet from your face.  YOU’RE ANGRY but you ain’t got to sin!  Pick-up your lips and carry them to your prayer room…get down on your knees and repent!  Now, ask the LORD GOD to forgive you and admit that you’ve been a fool and self-centered.  HE IS WAITING!  As king Solomon said, “Then HE will hear you from Heaven and forgive thy sin…teach you the right way…put you on the right path…be a lamp unto your feet…guide you step-by-step out of financial ruin…and rain upon your land which HE has given as an inheritance…”  

You may be experiencing  “spiritual and financial droughts”  one after another and the cycle goes on!  Do you recall Prophet Job’s suffering?  He lost everything in one day but he did not commit suicide.  Instead, Prophet Job prayed to GOD and he refused to sin against GOD!  In spite of his wife’s backslidden condition, JOB DID NOT GIVE UP!  He stayed faithful unto the LORD GOD!  Go ahead!  You can mimic Job’s patterns  – that’s why the story is in the Bible!  Hopefully (like Prophet Job), you just may come out successful!

Some of you are under a consistent meteor attack and you may find it hard to trust anybody, especially GOD. FYI:  It is a test (from the LORD) to see if you will TRUST IN HIM (as there is nothing you can fix). You need supernatural intervention!   “SURVIVING DROUGHTS”  is difficult but it can be done!  Go through your storms but not without JESUS!  The only way to make it is to TRUST IN THE LORD!

Worldwide News: “FORGIVENESS and RESTORATION!”

The BIBLE states,  “Yet, if they shall rethink themselves…repent and make supplication saying, We have sinned and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness…And, so return unto Thee with all their heart and with all their soul…Then hear Thou their prayer and their supplication in Heaven Thy dwelling place and maintain their cause…And forgive Thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against Thee, and give them compassion…”    (I Kings 8:47-50)  Its all just a prayer away as the LORD GOD is awesome! In HIM, you will find  “Forgiveness and Restoration!”   GOD will not restore you to your former state; instead,  HE will make you brand new and all that old funky stuff and ugly ways will be washed away!  Hallelujah! 

BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:

This is part of king Solomon’s pray at the Temple’s Dedication.  As you know, the glory of the first temple was astronomical!  You can read this for yourself!  However, king Solomon is not praying for the temple’s structure as the prayer is a covering for the Children of Israel.  Solomon’s prayer begins with,  “If they sin against Thee (for there is no man that sinneth not)…”    (I Kings 8:46)  This covers everybody (including king Solomon) who was gifted with great wisdom, understanding, and fabulous wealth!  Yet, Solomon (himself) sought after foolishness, folly, and vanity.  Do you know people who are foolish, stupid, silly, vain, greedy, lifted up, spiteful, unthankful, self-righteous, liars, coveters,  murders, lustful, violators, men/women stealers, etc.?   As Solomon said,  “…for there is no man that sinneth not…” 

If you are following CHRIST, you are a sinner saved by HIS grace and mercy AND there is forgiveness and restoration for you!  Let’s imagine, you are far from the shores of Christianity.  You may be out in the middle of the ocean in a rubber life boat and the sharks are circling around you. The sharks don’t want the little fish because they want you!  Honey, it doesn’t matter what’s going on in your life because GOD is able to save you.  All HE has to do is speak to the sharks and they will swim away.  If GOD spoke to the whale (who swallowed Prophet Jonah and spit him out on dry land),   the LORD GOD can speak to the sharks in your life and command them, “…be gone…”

Worldwide News: “DON’T COVET ANYTHING!”

The BIBLE states,  “…Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard by the palace of king Ahab of Samaria…and Ahab spake unto Naboth saying, Give me thy vineyard that I may have it for a garden of herbs because it is near to my house…”  (I Kings 21:1-4)    As humans, we are greedy for many things.  If your friend has a pretty girlfriend and you have a fat girlfriend, you secretly desire your friend’s girl!  If your buddy has a nice car and you own an outdated vehicle, you just may scratch up your friend’s car or leave your French fries under the seat!   How many times have you pulled up to a car that’s been keyed?  When you see cars “keyed” from front to back you say,  Oh Brother!   The message is  “DON’T COVET ANYTHING!”

BRING  IT DOWN ON HOME:

Can’t you see king Ahab asking Naboth  (a quiet little man) for his vineyard?  This vineyard was part of Naboth’s inheritance.  In modern times, it’s similar to a farmer with a body of land and a rich man who desires the farmer’s land.  The rich, fat cat wants to put a swimming pool, guest house, and huge driveway on the farmer’s land.  Instead of selling the land, the farmer says, “…this land belonged to my Father and his Father.”  After several attempts, the rich man watches the county’s tax records for the farmer to default his tax payments – then the rich cat steals the land!

Like Naboth and Jezebel, we are humans with attitudes, jealousies, hatred, designing plots, pretense, and ill-wishes towards one another.  Do you agree?  Since the World is not perfect, we know this factually as we have police to enforce laws and to protect the innocent.  There is hope:

a)  Through CHRIST JESUS, we can curtail ugly vices and ill-wills towards ourselves and others.

b)  Through CHRIST JESUS, we can go to GOD to repent and to request a make-over (not a cosmetic/theatrical one) but within the inner man to the outward man/woman!

c)  Through CHRIST JESUS, we can get rid of our old nature and put on the new man/woman in Christ Jesus, “…behold all things become new…”   

d)  Through CHRIST JESUS, we receive salvation, mercy, grace, and eternal life!

There is no reason for us to destroy one another and/or to covet anything which belongs to another!  If we lack anything, we can go to GOD the FATHER through JESUS CHRIST!    What ever you need (job, money, clothes, cars, faithful companion, vacation, raise, health coverage, healing, family, or whatever),  “DON’T COVET ANYTHING!”

Worldwide News: “Don’t YOU Do IT!”

The BIBLE states,  “Howbeit from the sins of Jeroboam (the son of Nebat) who made Israel to sin, JEHU departed not from after them, to wit, the golden calves that were in Bethel and that were in Dan…”   (II Kings 10:29)  This means Jehu  partially obeyed GOD and turned backwards to serve the same false deities as the people he punished!  SAY WHAT?   We think GOD is stupid!  Honey-sugar-baby, GOD IS NOT STUPID!    “Don’t YOU Do IT!”

BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:

GOD commissioned and used Jehu (who was a nobody) to go up against king Ahab (his entire household) and queen Jezebel (a Phoenician princess who brought in the false worship of Baal).  When JEHU got through with them, they did not live to tell the story.  Both of them encountered tragic deaths!  Ahab died on the battlefield slumped down in a chariot (with an arrow in his side) and a eunuch threw Jezebel out of an upstairs window and the dogs ate her!

Although, Jehu triumphed in his battles,  he did not come through as pure gold!  He continued false worship!  I want you to know one important thing about GOD  –   HE IS A JEALOUS GOD! As the WORD states,  “Thou shalt have no other god before thee – worship the LORD Thy GOD and HIM only shall thou serve!”    In fact, Prophet Elisha sent one of the children of the prophets (with a box of oil and told him to pour it out over JEHU’S head) and tell him, “Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel…then…open the door and run…”  (II Kgs. 9:3)

You and I know that the LORD did not commissioned Jehu to fall short of obedience and worship but he did!  After he succeeded as king to the throne of Israel, he backslid.  In spite of the LORD’S warning,  “Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the Lord GOD of Israel with all his heart:  for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam which made Israel to sin.”  

Well, there you have it!  Like Jehu, we get besides ourselves, lifted up, and puffed up like a bag of Cheetos!  As you know, Cheetos are greasy and we get cheesy for the Lord! We hear what we want to hear and we do what we want to do.  Take heed to the WORD of GOD and live as HE dictates.  The worst thing you can be is half in and half out of the GOD’S Will!    “Don’t YOU Do IT!”

Worldwide News: “REMEMBER ME!”

The BIBLE states,   “And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on Him, saying,  If thou be Christ save Thyself and us.  But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear GOD, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?  We indeed justly…receive the due reward of our deeds:  but this man hath done nothing amiss.  And he said unto Jesus, LORD, REMEMBER ME WHEN THOU COMEST INTO THY KINGDOM.  And Jesus said unto him,  Verily, I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”    (Luke 23:39-43)

What a testimony!   We have two guilty criminals and One innocent man  (JESUS) hanging on their own Crosses! One of the malefactors recognized his SIN but the other denied his guilt and shame.  In view of imminent death, this disbeliever maintained his stance and refused to repent. Do you know anybody like him?

Why do we buck like wild mustangs against THE CHRIST (our Lord and Savior)? Most of us don’t want to give up our freedom and surrender our hidden natures to a high authority. Thus, we make-believe that we are alright and everyone else is wrong!  We live by our emotions  –  our likes and dislikes.  We say, “Ah don’t like him or her because of this or that…Ah doest as Ah pleases cause Ah’s grown!”    We can be as wrong as the back end of an elephant which is not the “good luck”  end as everyone knows that  the lifted up trunk of the elephant is the sign of good luck!  It seems the elephant is saying, “Howdy, greetings,  and/or welcome….”   When our backsides are turned  away from God’s righteousness, we are ass-backwards!

It is time to come in our of the rain.  When you hear Thunder (the Voice of GOD) and see lightning (which comes from His little finger), you’d better behave yourself. As HIS voice thunders in the heavens and the house shakes, get on your knees to repent.  SUBMIT YOURSELF TO THE ALMIGHTY GOD!  Don’t be like the crook on the cross who wallowed in his own self-righteousness…lost his soul and life…and… landed in Hell! 

After you repent and confess to the Lord GOD, here is a charming phrase to utter,  “REMEMBER ME!”

The BIBLE states, “TRUST ye in the LORD for EVER: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength…”   (Isaiah 26:4)

BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:

Most of you have security systems in your homes, apartments, rentals, cars and passwords on your bank accounts, computers, logins, etc.  You get the point? No matter what kind of checks or balances are implemented (whether at home or with your bank account), they all involve human interaction as you must call a customer service representative. If there is a break-in at your business or home, the alarm company will call you immediately.  As long as you pay the alarm company,  they will keep up the service!    YOU can  test this theory  –  stop paying the alarm company.  If the police are summoned and you are climbing out your own window, the police may accidentally shoot you! Mistakes do happen!

THERE IS A 24/7 SECURITY SYSTEM IN JESUS!  Do you believe this? If so, then, you are on your way to success! The WORD says, “…for in the LORD JEHOVAH there is everlasting strength….”  This does not mean that trouble won’t knock on your door because the more you trust in the Lord, the more the devil will go upside your head! The enemy will come at you like a Mack truck and knock you into next week!  When trouble comes, GOD will give you not only strength but everlasting strength to endure tests and trials!

Don’t worry about the enemy and/or the forces against you.   GOD is able as HE  is   “24/7 SECURITY !”  –  twenty-four hours @ seven days per week…every year….every century….every millennium..and throughout all eternity…and thereafter…!

The BIBLE states,  “…but the GIFT OF GOD is ETERNAL LIFE through JESUS CHRIST our LORD!”  (Romans 6:23) Come on over to the Lord’s side where there is peace, happiness, joy, grace, mercy, and plenty more in the Holy Ghost!  There is so much in store for you besides “Free Gifts!”

If somebody told you that a big name department store was giving out free gifts, what would you do?  Let’s say within the first hour of the doors being opened the first 500 people would each receive a $1,000.00 gift certificate (redeemable the same day) and the next wave of 500 people would each receive a $500.00 gift certificate (redeemable the same day). People would be lined up at the front door from 5:00 pm the day before! In fact, the store’s management would have to call the police department to clear the doorways because the entrance doors would be blocked!

Well now, the LORD GOD is offering “FREE GIFTS!” to each of us! You don’t have to buy anything…you don’t have to save up your pennies…you can’t put it on the layaway…and you cannot buy shares, bonds, or stocks. IT IS FREE!  More so, this gift comes with a guarantee – ETERNAL LIFE! Oh shucks! I can do better than that!  You  will receive spiritual and external gifts and blessing pressed down and running over!  JESUS CHRIST PAID THE PRICE BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD!

Why in the World would you want to bust hell wide open?  KEEP YOUR NAME IN THE LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE – don‘t let the devil cause your name to be blotted out!  “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”  

Perhaps, it is in your spirit and soul to do right but your flesh is fighting with your spirit and soul. The WORD tells us that the members of our own body are at war with one another.  For this reason, many of you are acting up as you read the Bible! You’re free to come and go at will…You’re free to say and do as you please…but when someone is talking about the LORD GOD, you get mad!  You feel convicted because the WORD is hitting home plate, your heart and soul!

ACCEPT THE GIFT AS IT IS FREE!  What have you got to lose? You ain’t doing nothing productive for your soul in this life or the next! When you pass from this life, what are you taking with you?  Pharaoh stored up plenty in his tomb and the grave robbers broke in and stole everything of value! In fact, Pharaoh ain’t even in his tomb! Worldwide museum curators stole many Pharaohs (with their families and their private possessions) from their own tombs!  Remember the Gift of GOD is ETERNAL LIFE through JESUS CHRIST our LORD!

Worldwide News: “Submit Your RESIGNATION to the Devil!”

The BIBLE states, “TODAY, if ye will hear HIS voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. For some, when they had heard, did provoke…”  (Hebrews 3:15)  Exactly what does this mean? Simply, stop and desist in your sins. In other words,  “Submit Your Resignation!”   to the devil! 

BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:

Like it or not, some of us are on the wrong side of the street!  Mama use to say, “Youse better stop acting like a fool – the LAWD sees all, knows, all and hears all!” Once Mama spelled out this jingle to us, we’d stop dead in our tracks because the next blow was a 5 long, skinny switches from a peach tree. We became hopping Indians and Cowboys with several blows to our legs.  MAMA WAS JESUS!  Quickly (whelps and all), we resigned from sinning!

As adults, we are no longer children and Mama is long gone!  We know right from wrong (YOU TOO) no matter how stupid we act. More so, we know GOD’S voice. HE whispers in our inner ear, “Don’t do this….don’t go over there…say I’m sorry…pay your bills…pay back the money you borrowed…don’t lust…don’t steal…don’t cheat…don’t lie…get up on time…go to work on time…read your Bible…study My Word…don’t drive fast….help your family…help others…love your enemies…do good unto those who persecute you…”

WHY are we disobedient? Some of us have been 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 years in the wilderness (a barren land).  Even though we incur the same struggles over-and-over, we continue down the same path; and very rarely, do we bail out. We continue to produce bad fruit. Another Scripture reads, “Harden not your HEART, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. …”  (Psalm 95:8)

In paraphrasing, the ALMIGHTY GOD told the Children of Israel, “I put up with your foolishness for forty years and that’s why yawl wondered in the wilderness as I allowed hunger to strike you…snakes to bit you…and for your throats to dry out like roasted peanuts… Because yawl made ME so mad I swore (in ME Wrath) that you should not enter into ME rest…”   (Psalm 95:10-11)  Yes,  HE is a Global God and Universal Lord!  Also,  HE speaks the vernacular of all languages as HE is the Creator!  Because of sin, many people (rich and poor) are long gone from the Land of the Living  but for some of us – there is still hope!

Worldwide News: “GOD”S Restraining Order!”

Topic: “GOD’S Restraining Order!”

The BIBLE states, “At Thy (GOD) rebuke they [oceans and waters] fled: at the voice of Thy thunder hasted away…Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over: that they turn not again to cover the earth…”  (Psalm 104:7-9);    AND    

“Who coverest THYSELF with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: Who layeth the beams of His chambers in waters: Who maketh the clouds His chariot: Who walketh upon the wings of the wind: Who maketh His angels spirits: His ministers a flaming fire: Who laid the foundations of that it should not be moved for ever…”  (Psalm 104:2-5);

Since spiritual things don’t move you, perhaps, an interest in the natural wonders of the Earth will help you to believe in THE ALMIGHTY GOD! So, lets reflect upon the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. 

THE ALMIGHTY kicked the Indian Plate causing it to slide up under the Burma Plate; thereby this caused the large megathrust earthquake and subsequently the tsunami.  According to records, it was the 3^rd largest earthquake…lasted a long time…triggered aftershocks and more earthquakes….shifted the Andaman Island…not to mention the psychological damage it caused to people who lived and vacationed there in the Sumatra-Andaman-Nicobar Islands areas.  More so, this was a catastrophic event for the people who died on December 26, 2006.

WATCH THIS!  At the voice of GOD, the oceans go forward and/or recede. And, for this reason, the Indian Ocean mounted up with monstrous/killer waves to attack the people of the Sumatra-Andaman-Nicobar Islands!  For you scientists, God is not going to destroy the Earth with another flood like Noah’s Deluge! 

THE ALMIGHTY GOD issued a restraining order to the oceans, rivers, and waters (including the underground springs and rivers). Unlike Mankind, they (the oceans and waters of Earth) will never disobey GOD!

To Seal His covenant with Noah, GOD put the rainbow in the sky to remind us about His Promise! Yes Sir!  HE is THE ALMIGHTY GOD!
