GOD says, “Fear thou not for I am with thee…be not dismayed for I am thy GOD…” (Isaiah 41:10) Are you having an anxiety attack? Well the Word says, “FEAR THOU NOT!”
BRING IT DOWN ON HOME:
There is nothing worse than fear itself yet we all suffer from anxiety attacks and pure frustration for this and that. Although we know that the “…we are to fear God who controls the spirit and the soul…God who controls Heaven and Hell,” we are more afraid of men who can kill the body as it seems the more imminent danger. However, there is a hereafter which is eternal!
Let’s examine this below:
(1) What does GOD’S Word say? “Fear thou not for I am with thee and be not dismayed for I am thy God.” It sounds like the very Words spoken to Joshua (Moses’ successor), “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of good courage…Only be thou strong and very courageous that thou may observe to do all the law which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left…” (Joshua 1:5-7) Can the Lord dwell in us and with us as He did with Moses and Joshua? YES!
(2) The Lord GOD says, “I will strengthen thee…I will help thee…I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness…I will help thee…I will help thee…I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth…I will hear thee…I will not forsake thee…I will open rivers in high places and fountains in the midst of valleys…I will make the wilderness a pool of water and the dry land springs of water…I will plant in the wilderness and in the desert….” (Isaiah 41:10-19) Look at the number of times God repeated Himself! Obviously, He wants us not to trust in our own strength as we have none and to put all of our cares upon Him!
The Lord GOD has spoken, “When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue fails for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them…” Naturally, this not only includes water as it covers all the needs of the poor and needy (including the rich and mighty who call upon the Name of the Lord GOD)! What about the teeth of the new sharp instruments? God will construct new weapons of warfare for His people! When He gets finished with your enemies, they won’t have any teeth to gum mashed potatoes! However, you can figure out some of this and you can take GOD’S Word to the bank or credit union because His Word shall never pass away!
